Students reviewed the following consonant and vowel sounds. We also reviewed 2 syllable words, and the suffix endings -ing and -ed.
These are words not pronounced the way you would expect based on the spelling.
The Reader, The Cat Bandit, has stories which tell of the adventures of a clever cat to get food items which are out of reach. It is completely decodable with tricky words and spellings the students have reviewed. We also use these for comprehension practice with a variety of questions.
The students also reviewed sentence building and unscrambling to make clear sentences, punctuation, and capitalization.
